TL;DR:
This post got some love this week. Spread it!
2 Construction Books
Let’s be real. There are not a lot of great construction books. Engineers aren’t known as great writers (No offense). Here are two that we have enjoyed.

Level Headed by Doug Pruitt & Richard Condit
TL;DR: These guys turned around Sundt Construction in the 2000’s. It’s a heck of a story. “The second we put our checklist to the side and said 'Hey, we’re Sundt, we’ve got this’, we had lost our way”.
The Integrity Chain by Ralph E. James
TL;DR: Integrity and trust equals profit in construction. If the owner trusts the contractor, life is good. Gosh, have I found this to be true. Nearly every time I admitted fault or told the uncomfortable truth as a contractor to an owner, it always came back in spades.
Transportation needs better oversight… Do you agree?
Stoic Wisdom Quote:
“So that morning in 1962 I told myself: Let everyone else call your idea crazy . . . just keep going. Don’t stop. Don’t even think about stopping until you get there, and don’t give much thought to where “there” is. Whatever comes, just don’t stop.”
Phil Knight from Shoe Dog
Reflect on this as we embark on another week of bidding and building!
